First font list for Ambaradan online

Since we want to make sure that you find your language displayed in Ambaradan looking "good" and in the way your culture prefers, we are right now compiling a list with fonts that we are going to use. For now not much "cultural aspects" could be considered, because we cannot speak all languages nor do we understand all cultures. But it is one main issue for us that these languages and cultures are going to be presented in a proper way.

Fonts for Ambaradan

Ambaradan potentially can work with all languages. One mayor challenge is to find out the right fonts for the various languages. During the last days I compiled a list (ods format) starting with the latest available ISO 639-3 language code list.

Considerations on POS/Grammar

This page is work in progress.

POS and Grammar are among the most complex parts of Ambaradan. Each language is unique and therefore each set of "grammar views" needs to be adapted per language. Of course some bits and pieces among similar languages are the same, but well: they are hardly ever "all the same".

For now we are not concentrating on having the grammar part ready for September, but here we give just some "glance" to give an idea about what is possible. Having this implemented will take quite some time.

Changes neede - notes

Licensing information needs to go somewhere on the UI - well, it is secondary for functionality, but it is needed maybe additional menu item on the left hand side.

--> solved: icon right near entry

When the expression/definition comes from a specific source, this should be indicated by an icon right near the expression/definition etc.
